Dappled sunlight meets camo above.  80s waiting room furniture meets camo below. Loving this collection!

Trends | Bomber Jackets

Burberry Prorsum, Gucci, Marc Jacobs
Patterned bombers aren't just for the ladies. Menswear gets an equal dose of designs ranging from conversational prints to bombastic florals with a dash of vintage inspired geometrics thrown in the mix.

S13 Men's | Christopher Kane

The print story at Christopher Kane's new line centers around roses and paint. The oversized roses are sepia toned with tints of hot pinks and purples and with overlayed slashes of paint, creating a sort of romantic tableau that evokes sentimental love and passionate artistry. Other garments are just paint slashes, organized strategically on sweatsuits and short/t-shirt sets.

Bold basic geometrics take on a fun and almost 80's feel on Iceberg's menswear collection.

Menswear | Alex Mattson

via JC Report-- We love the experimental surface applications of Alex Mattson, a London-based Menswear designer who has been making waves since his admission to the prestigious Royal College of Art. His use of the latest technologies to interpret sound and light into print is quite intriguing.

Spring 12 Men: Prada

Flowers are blooming everywhere at Prada. There's nothing understated or manly about these florals, and the bold approach is refreshing in the menswear world of textures, stripes and plaids.

Spring 12 Men: Burberry

Christopher Bailey's latest collection for Burberry is full of energy and eccentricity, owing in large part to surface applications like the Northern England-inspired geometrics seen above. Other prints, softer but still graphic and happy, rounded out the collection as one of youthful spririt and individualism.

As a pattern staple of winter wear, it's no surprise that plaid appears all over the menswear collections. From Thom Browne's puritanical interpretations to Victor & Rolf's sophisticated styling, there will be no shortage of designs to choose from.

Spring 11 Menswear: Checks and Plaids

Issey Miyake x 3, Missoni, Comme des Garcons, Walter Van Beirendonck, Comme des Garcons, Issey Miyake

Typical of menswear, tons of plaids and checks re-appear this season but with some interesting twists. Issey Miyake explores the classic plaid with hand painting and transparency, creating a softer look. Comme des Garcons takes a hard edge, framing black and white checkered tees with red striped jackets, and interspersing checks with skulls.

Menswear SS11 | Conversationals

Issey Miyake, Thom Browne, John Galliano, Issey Miyake

Influenced by the Summer pastime of fishing, aquatic creatures appear in all shapes and sizes on menswear next Spring. Every moment of the day is covered. Go from a trout robe at Galliano in the morning to a casual day look at Issey Miyake, followed by a dapper button up suit from Thom Browne for night attire.

Spring 11 Menswear: Splatter

Jean Paul Gaultier, Dries Van Noten x 2
Conjuring up Jackson Pollack, Gaultier makes splatter look tough and gestural. Dries Van Noten's classic white shirts look like inks, blood-like fluids, and motor oil has been thrown onto them in an angry gesture.
