Our collaboration with Scout books has just been released and we are quite pleased with the results. Scout books are 32 pages of pocket-sized goodness created by Portland-based printing press, Pinball Publishing. The idea behind this collaboration was to use some textile-based designs to take these into the fashion realm. Having one of these sticking out of the back pocket of your jeans would not look bad at all if we do say so ourselves!
We love Andy Gilmore's digital work--so intricate and such rich colors. The above picture in the middle was made into a fold-out poster for wallpaper magazine. It is a collection of colors used on the Spring/Summer 11 runways, and the poster has been on our wall for months. Now we know all the other gorgeous work from this artist!
Thanks, Suzie Bubble, for posting about English florals today. Stella McCartney's florals from the 2011 collection have made it on to perfume bottles, and Bon Magazine designed booklets for Stockholm's Fashion week, which is going on right now.

Following the success of Hotel Missoni in Edinburgh, the brand opened another hotel in Kuwait this March. Gold and turquoise dominating walls, chandeliers and textiles. Signature stripes as well as playful florals just beg you to sink in, have fun, and luxuriate. Creative Director Rosita Missoni has customized everything in this hotel, from textiles to staff uniforms. As Signora Missoni has put it, "Real luxury is good attentive service, and good and comfortable design. This is real luxury—it’s a simple principle, but we kept them as our focus."
Inspired by Style.com's animal story, we decided to dig around and find our favorites in retail. Here they are!
